After opening the Distribution Center in Guarulhos, the company now expands its presence in Baixada Santista, with a new administrative unit; the company already manages a bonded logistics center in the region
To expand its presence in the State of São Paulo, Multilog will open a new office in Santos. The company, which has completed 26 years of activities, is already present in Baixada Santista with the management of the space at the Customs Logistic and Industrial Center, CLIA Santos, but now has its own administrative unit in the region, to be closer to customers and to concentrate entire team in a single physical space.
With an area of 470m², the new office in Santos concentrates the entire administrative department, including the Commercial/ Funding/ Invoicing/ Customer Service/ Transport/ Purchasing/ Commercial Planning/ People and IT area.
The opening event is scheduled for June 23, at 7 pm, to officially present Multilog's new space to customers. There are more than 200 confirmed guests.
CLIA employees were transferred to the new administrative base and have been working there for about 15 days. But the company also has plans to expand the unit, generating jobs for the region. “We have the structure to grow by 30% in the new office and in the terminal, which will be retrofitted, with space for new hires,” said Catharine Aires, Multilog's Business Development Manager.
For those who don't know, CLIA is a customs facility created to facilitate the release of import and export products. The logistics center has the purpose of sending or receiving cargo. “Santos is an important channel for logistics operations, as it is the largest port in Latin America in terms of movement. We want to closely monitor the relationship with customers from different segments of the supply chain”, said Djalma Vilela, president of Multilog.
