Multilog buys 5 new trucks to meet transport demand in Viracopos

With an investment of R $ 2.25 million, the new vehicles were acquired to support the cargo flow between the company’s units and to serve the new Express Connection service, with cargo transportation on a fixed route from Guarulhos and Viracopos to the units of the company

This week, Multilog received five Mercedes Benz trucks, model 2430, bed cabin, low roof. All are equipped with thermostatic technology in the chests, allowing definition and control of positive temperatures from 2 to 8 degrees and from 15 to 25 degrees. The new vehicles will be incorporated into the company’s fleet to serve specific and regular routes, increasing efficiency in meeting customer demands. The investment of R $ 2.25 million is in line with Multilog’s asset light model.

“These trucks will meet the demand for transportation between our units and the main pre-defined logistics corridors. They will also be used to service the new service, Express Connection, which allows the shared transportation of cargo from Guarulhos and Viracopos airports, with a fixed route route every week, to transport cargo from airports to our units ”, says the Manager of Business Development at Multilog, Pietro Paroni.

According to the executive, one of the concerns with the acquisition of the new trucks was being able to support all types of cargo, including the pharmacist, which has been growing in volume significantly and requires temperature control. Multilog has the capacity to serve various segments of the industry, with more than 200 special licenses and OAS certification in several units.

The Express Connection is an exclusive service of Multilog that allows shared cargo transportation from Guarulhos and Viracopos airports to Multilog’s strategic regional units. These are fixed-time routes, which ensures more economy and agility in the process. “By using a single operator throughout the chain, with the new trucks on predefined routes, we reduced the percentage of errors and enabled more appropriate service combos”, adds Paroni.

All stages of the process can be followed by the customer in real time through GENIUS, the exclusive customer portal developed by the company.
