The company's bold growth project includes acquisitions, five of which are already underway, three of which have well advanced negotiations

Multilog is turning 25 on May 29. Founded in Santa Catarina, in 1996, Multilog started with just one warehouse in the city of Itajaí / SC. Today, it is one of the largest logistics operators in Brazil, with a strong presence in the South and Southeast, and has plans to expand to other regions of the country and to Mercosur. The growth target is to increase sales by R $ 1 billion by 2025. Last year, the company closed the year with sales of around R$ 600 million.

“Multilog's growth plan includes acquisitions from other companies to accelerate the process. There are already five operations in progress, three of which are well advanced, ”says Djalma Vilela, CEO of Multilog. In addition, the company plans to increase its presence in the pharmaceutical area, taking the leadership it already has in Santa Catarina to other states and, at the same time, it intends to expand to international markets - in Mercosur and in countries such as Colombia and Mexico.

To this end, it has been making constant investments in strategic services, acquisition of machinery and systems in recent years, in order to make the entire operational chain more agile and more visible to the customer, in addition to envisioning new fronts, such as e-commerce.

During the pandemic, it is worth noting that several important initiatives were implemented to enable services with excellence and prominence in the logistics market, especially the WebVistoria Genius, which allows the release of cargo online, the MultiTracking Genius, for the customer to monitor the cargo in all the steps, and now another major investment, the adoption of the new Warehouse Management System (WMS) K.Motion WA from Körber in the company's distribution centers across the country. "In numbers, the IT area jumped from an investment of R$ 12 million in the last two years to an investment of more than R$ 16 million for the coming years", said the CEO.

In parallel, at the beginning of May, new trucks were acquired to support the cargo flow between the company's units and meet the new Conexão Expressa Multilog service, with cargo transport on a fixed route from Guarulhos and Viracopos to the strategic regional units of the company. company. An investment of R$ 2.25 million.
