The delivery of the awards for the best supplier of the Korean automaker took place on the afternoon of last Thursday, May 6. Altogether there were 9 categories whose suppliers were recognized for their excellence in providing services and contributing to the company's success
Multilog was chosen the best supplier of Hyundai in 2020 in Brazil. The logistics operator was awarded in the Foreign Trade Services category, one of nine that were part of the ninth edition of the Suppliers Seminar, held for the first time in a virtual way.
"Suppliers are fundamental to business today and tomorrow, but that was even more evident in the pandemic," said the president and CEO of Hyundai do Brasil, Ken Ramirez, during the award ceremony. According to him, the objective of the award is not only to recognize excellence, but also to share good practices.
“We are very proud of this recognition, since we started the partnership last year. Not to mention that 2020 was a very challenging year for all of us and that makes the award even more special. It is a way of validating our continuous effort to deliver the best solution to our customers ”, says Michele Monteiro, Business Development Manager at Multilog.
The award highlighted Multilog's efficiency in handling thousands of containers in Brazil, with agility and proactivity that were essential to support the automaker's import and export processes even during the pandemic. In addition, Hyundai considered it essential that Multilog employees are always well trained and up-to-date, attentive to operations compliance standards, meeting procedures clearly and precisely, and paying attention to HMB requirements that allowed for cost optimization import and export.
For 2021, Hyundai announced during the ceremony that it intends to once again surpass the 200,000 cars produced mark, a number reached in 2019. In the logistics segment, the challenges also include mitigating the risks of shortages and the stability of import deliveries. The automaker is also looking for alternatives to reduce costs and expects a significant increase in the volume of cars exported.
