The contract with Körber was signed in January and is in line with the investments made in the information technology area in recent years and the company's strategic planning
Multilog has just adopted the new K.Motion WA Warehouse Management System (WMS) from Körber at the company's distribution centers across the country. The goal is to increase the visibility of operations and further improve performance. The action will impact internal processes, but the benefits will be perceived by customers as well.
Multilog had been in the process of technological innovation for some time, opting for the most advanced systems / software in the world, such as SAP S / 4 Hana, adopted in 2018, Salesforce, implemented in 2019, in addition to the development of an exclusive portal for customers, GENIUS, launched in the same year. “The pandemic helped to accelerate the implementation and alignment of these improvements and, above all, increased demand and market acceptance for this digitization, including pioneering solutions such as remote cargo inspection, among others. The agility in service and the delivery of more assertive solutions are being increasingly demanded by the logistics market, so we anticipate ourselves as much as possible to be at the side of customers in a more expressive way ”, said Fabrício Baggio, Operations and Transport Director.
The contract with the German supplier, the global leader in supply chain technology, was signed in January. Körber, which acquired the American HighJump in 2017, manufacturing everything from software to products for automation of material handling and was positioned as one of the leaders in the Gartner Magic Quadrant 2020 Report for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
"We were looking for a new system that could be flexible to meet the needs of customers, but that, at the same time, offered control management compliance and a managerial view," said Multilog's IT manager, Leonardo Moura. According to him, the partnership with Körber is in line with the investments made in the area in recent years. “Everything will be connected and integrated with SAP S / 4 Hana, Salesforce and our GENIUS customer portal,” said Moura.
Optimistic about the future, Baggio says that the logistics segment has reinvented itself and has found a way to continue in a promising way. “All the actions in our strategic planning for the 21-25 cycle are aligned to be increasingly close to the customer, understanding their operation, finding more efficient solutions, in addition to anticipating market demands, as we have already been doing”, he concludes.
The Kick-off of the project was carried out on February 8 and customers are expected to operate on the new system in 2021.
