Multilog´s Dry Port in Foz do Iguaçu remains the largest in Latin America in cargo handling

The first half of 2020 ended with a satisfactory rate for Brazilian cargo handling. According to the Federal Revenue Service, the Dry Port in Foz do Iguaçu (PR), operated by Multilog, remains the largest in Latin America in cargo operations. To ensure the intense flow at the border, which had 69,772 trucks released, the player operator adopted measures to streamline the processes, ensure the full supply of essential supplies to society and ensure total security in the operations.

The data shows that Argentina, Chile and Paraguay were the countries that most handled cargo, followed by national procedures. The neighbors in Paraguay were at the forefront of exports, representing 41% of all operations recorded in the period. In the first semester, 38,454 pieces of cargo were released in import operations, with cereals, products from the milling industry and vegetables being among the most imported products. Of the export procedures, there were 31,318 releases with an emphasis on plastic, paper, cellulose, machinery and mechanical instruments.
